New Hooker Troublemaker pipes found an additional 18.8 rear–wheel horsepower and 5.5 lb/ft of torque over a stock 2001 88ci Fatboy. Independent testing performed at Speed's Performance Plus. Numbers achieved with a 46 low speed jet, 190 main jet and K&N® air filter. Stepped, internal head pipe design (Industry’s first) incorporates 38 years of race header technology allowing top-end horsepower without sacrificing low-end torque. Metallic Ceramic Coating on internal head pipes retain heat, increasing exhaust velocity for more horsepower (Industry’s First) and 2 1/2” outer pipe for the ‘Big Tube’ look with no visible blueing. Increased performance over a broad RPM range (most other brands of 21/2” straight pipes lose low and midrange performance). Specific applications for highly modified motors with bigger primaries and larger steps (Industry’s First). Comes with muffler cartridge that delivers a deep rumble sought after by most enthusiasts. Two optional muffler cartridges are also available offering either a smooth mellow sound or loud sound with improved flow. Everything is provided including exhaust gaskets, C-clips, chromed flanges, machined brackets, nuts, bolts and detailed instructions.
